TechnoBoy is Mumbai (India) based Nishant Walimbe. - Dj - Producer Ever since Nishant has unleashed his craze for EDM,he's always been on ventures for new sounds..He started his career as a DJ back in 2006.Graduated from one of the most repectable and renowned DJ schools "Azaredo Acoustics". His expertise and skills provided him for a job as a teacher in the same institute.After coaching more than 50 djs in a span of a year Nishant got to the core of djing skills and pushed his boundaries of creativity to the next level... He owes his career and whatever he is today to his Mentors and great friends Tuhin Mehta ( Brute Force) and Tarun Shahani (Boombaba), Arjun Vagale & Ash Roy ( Jalebee Cartel), Reji Ravindran (Chill Om Records) ... At barely 17, he won his first set of decks,and has never looked back since then....his acculads prove his determination and deep admiration for music. While dj'ing he plays a wide array of music ranging from Minimal,Tech House,Techno,Progressive-Tech.. He has spun for " One Sunday" which happens once every month at H20,mumbai where best of djs from mumbai spin the fresh'est Electronic Dance Music and promote it and educate people with the latest. Also performed for the Beer Festival at the MTC,mumbai with the line up of B.L.O.T,Boombay Central, Dj Arnold, Helium Projekt and Udyan Sagar. Nishant's weekly radio sessions on a london based radio called Definitive Beats also got him some serious attention from the international circuit. Currently he is very much into KriticaL Bass studios working on the band and productions which will be out soon.On production side,he did the Editing work (Apple Loops) for Bollywood Elements (Salim Suleiman),the dvd (Sample Library) which is soon to be released all over. His recent gigs at Vie Lounge (Submerge Sundowns) , Bombay 72 East (Andy Moor) , H2O (One Sunday), and Aurus (Daniel Kandi) got some serious attention... His new collaboration (Wyrd Tribe) with the young gun/percussionist Maitreya Shah is getting good shapes with their first Mixed set (Blind Dead). Wyrd tribe is a new techno outfit by Nishant & Maitreya , who are combining forces to spin/produce minimal & techno music with a lot of Experimental sampling and FX... His recent gigs at Blue Frog (Bhavishyavani Future Soundz) and Aurus (Jalebee Cartel) received serious acclaims. Nishant ended 2008 with a few gigs towards the end of December.. New years was at Club Utopia, Goa with Nikhil Chinapa and Pearl for Submerge and also played twice in the same week for Submerge at the same place. The first week of January kicked off with a Main techno set at Aurus in mumbai...!!!
